It’s been a while! —July 2023 Update—

Hi Friends!

It’s Been a While!

2023 started off with turbulence here at Farmstead 248 as heavy rainfall and flooding from January all the way through March put us through our paces. We weathered the storm (or storms); however overall progress was delayed while we rebuilt what we could and waited for the soggy ground to dry enough to be workable. Winter and spring seemed like a game of two steps forward and one step back. We were lucky overall, albeit delayed. We finished getting the last of our plants in the ground a little over a month ago, and they are maturing quickly! See the list of what we have planted and what we currently have available below.

Farmstand 248 Officially Open!

We have good news to make up for the lack of updates. The farmstand is officially open! At the farmstand you’ll find both Farmstead 248 and Botany 248 (our “sister” flower and botanical farm run by Kelsey’s parents). We are currently holding market times Saturdays 7:00 am to Noon and Wednesdays 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. All our products and Botany 248 products are available at the farmstand. Eggs will continue to be available for scheduled pickups. The farmstand is located on the Northwest corner of Ave 196 and Road 248 just east of Strathmore. You can find a map here: https://www.farmstead248.com/farmstand-location-hours

Show Us What You’ve Got!

For this week we have chicken eggs, duck eggs, basil, and summer squash. Melons are on deck and may be available as soon as this Saturday (7/22). We’ll have a much wider variety of produce in the coming weeks. The best way to check availability is Instagram, Facebook, email, or stopping by the stand. The following list details all of what to expect from us as summer progresses.  In addition, Botany 248 will have fresh fancy eucalyptus bundles, dried lavender bundles, dried herbs, and sachets.
